Trekking to the eight highest mountain in the world - Manaslu!


Manaslu region has a lot to offer to the trekkers, from the beautiful scenery of the majestic Himalayan ranges, picturesque villages and high altitude glacier lakes to rich biological and cultural diversity. It is a remote off-the-beaten-track into one of Nepal's most beautiful and unspoilt areas. Manaslu [8163m] is the eight highest mountain of the world, located near the border of Nepal and Tibet. The trek also offers a variation of landscape like starting from lowland to touching almost to Tibet border. With the geographical variation, the ethnic composition of the people living in the area also varies. Visitors will find more Brahmins and Magars in the lower parts, and Gurungs and Tibetan origin people in the highlands.

Manaslu trek is an ideal destination while trekking in Nepal for people having moderate level of physical fitness. Opened since 1991 AD, Manaslu trek lies near the border of Tibet and Nepal. Only the organized trekking groups with permits are allowed to trek round the Manaslu region. Manaslu trek starts after the guided sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. We take a long drive towards Arughat and trek further along the Seti khola and Machha khola in the following days respectively. This Manaslu trek also provides a wonderful opportunity to capture the stunning views of glorious Himalayan ranges along the glacial lakes, local floras and faunas. After few trekking days, we acclimatize at Samagaon and trek to Bhimphedi via crossing the Larkya la pass. This Larkya la pass is one of the major attractions of this trek which lies at an altitude of 5220 meters. Further, we trek and explore the local culture along the natural beauty of Jagat, Bahundada and finally Beshisahar. Day 06: Trek to Jagat.
Day 07: Trek to Ngyak.
Day 08: Trek to Ghap.
Day 09: Trek to Lho.
Day 10: Trek to Sama Gompa.
Day 11: Trek to Samdo.
Day 12: Acclimatization and exploration day.
Day 13: Cross Larkya La and trek to Bhimphedi.
Day 14: Trek to Tiliche.
Day 15: Trek to Tal.
Day 16: Trek to Jagat.
Day 17: Trek to Bahundanda.
Day 18: Trek to Beshisahar
Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 20: Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Day 21: Final departure. Transfer to the airport.
