Lobuche Peak Climbing

Lying close to the Khumbu glacier in Everest region, Lobuche has two summits – East (6,119m) and West (6,145m). Although they are connected by a continuous ridge, there is a sharp gap and a considerable distance between them. The trekking peak permit is for the east peak, whilst Lobuche West, at the head of the Lobuche glacier, requires an expedition permit. The dark triangle of Lobuche East rises over the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier to a spectacular skyline, forming the south ridge, which is the normal standard route. The peak of Lobuche is reached by descending a marked notch and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top. It has nerve breaking view of the Khumbu valley and glacier. From the summit, amazing views of Everest alongside Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori can be viewed.

A spectacular flight to Lukla takes us to the land of Sherpas from where our trek begins. Passing through several villages, monasteries and forests, we trek to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world – Everest and Kala Patthar, from where you will have a 360 degree breathtaking view of the Himalayas. With proper acclimatization, we head to Lobuche Base Camp where your real taste of adventure to the summit begins.
